F.A.Q.

Q: I just signed up as a volunteer member what is next?

Welcome. You should receive a welcome message that highlights a few things. In this community you are free and independent. Do exactly what you would do if you just moved into a new home: look around and make yourself comfortable. Update your profile and create your own space to reflect who you are. Meet other people, check out discussions, groups and activities. Read and learn. If you don’t see anything that you like, then create something. Depending on what you want to create, you may have to wait a little for your “trust level” to go up first. Whenever you are ready to sign up for different things, then go ahead and sign up. From time to time you will receive opportunities posted in community spaces or directly from WPG. You can always choose to opt in if you want. Welcome again!

Q: What is a card carrying verified member?

A verified member of the WPG community who makes a commitment to be a champion of WPG’s mission. Specifically, to be a champion for the power of people to make the world a better place. VMs make everything possible through their commitment and their funding. This is why we are not owned/controlled/influenced by advertisers and we don’t sell anyone’s data. Above all, VMs understand that WPG’s mission is about serving all people, regardless of their level of commitment. Is this for you? You can apply here:

Q: Can I recommend a community that is in need?

Yes! This is the pillar of WPG to bring Philanthropists and Communities together!

Q: Do I have to be rich to be a member?

Of course not. The definition of a Philanthropy according to mariam-webstre is:

goodwill to fellow members of the human race

active effort to promote human welfare

In other words if you believe in using your life to increase goodwill to fellow members of the human race you are by definition a philanthropist, it is not just a title for businessmen but for all walks of life.
